Are these pre-recorded video tutorials or am I actually speaking with a human?
You’ll meet live 1:1 with Aaron on Zoom for every lesson. It’s fully interactive: you’re driving Ableton on your computer while Aaron gives real-time guidance and annotations. Lessons can be recorded for review afterward. Optional course videos are included as supplemental practice—not a replacement for the live sessions.
Can lessons be recorded?
Yes—you can record every session (and you get access to 8+ hours of tutorial videos). Many students rewatch key moments while practicing.

I’m not from Canada, can I still take lessons from you?
Absolutely. Lessons are online via Zoom, scheduled in your local time zone, and include optional recordings so you can review later – Just bring Ableton Live, a stable connection, and headphones.
How long is each lesson?
Standard sessions are 60 minutes, the sweet spot to warm up, learn something new, and apply it.
When are lessons?
Lessons are scheduled flexibly—weekdays (and select weekends) with times shown in your local timezone. Pick ad-hoc slots or set a recurring time. Each session is 60 minutes and can be recorded for review.
What do I need?
You’ll need a few basic things to take lessons with me.
There is a lot of other fun equipment that can make using Ableton a lot more fun, but the above list is the minimum you’ll need to start taking lessons.
I have never used Ableton before, can I still take lessons?
Absolutely. We’ll start from zero—install/setup, audio interface, preferences, and your first beat. You drive Ableton the entire session while I guide you in real time, so you build muscle memory and confidence fast.
Are these lessons online or in person?
Lessons are online via Zoom. You’ll get live, one-on-one coaching with optional session recordings and access to supplemental video courses.
Can I take lessons in person from you?
I only offer in-person lessons during group workshops. Otherwise, I teach strictly online only!
What version of Ableton do I need?
Any recent version works (Intro, Standard, or Suite; Live 11 or 12). If you’re choosing today, Live 12 Standard or Suite is ideal, but we’ll adapt to whatever you have. The free trial is fine to get started.
