You stay in control
Marketing is optional. Service messages—like receipts, downloads, booking confirmations, and lesson reminders—are sent only when needed to provide something you requested.
Spacefood is a small, independent music-education studio run by Aaron Spacefood in Nelson, British Columbia. These policies explain what happens to your information, your purchases, and your lesson credits.
Spacefood collects the information needed to provide lessons, downloads, purchases, book redemptions, support, and the updates you deliberately choose.
Marketing is optional. Service messages—like receipts, downloads, booking confirmations, and lesson reminders—are sent only when needed to provide something you requested.
Spacefood receives order and payment-status details, but does not receive or store your full card number.
First-party analytics record page paths, page titles, and referral pages without an advertising profile. A browser Do Not Track setting is respected.
This may include your name, email address, marketing preferences, lesson goals, timezone, support messages, booking details, homework and progress notes, download requests, book-verification answers, and the information needed to personalize a Chord Matrix copy.
Spacefood stores the product, price, currency, order reference, payment status, delivery status, and the customer details needed for a receipt or private access. Stripe processes the payment card. For personalized Chord Matrix files, the visible anti-piracy watermark uses the customer name and a short Spacefood order reference—not an email address.
Spacefood’s first-party analytics may record the page path, page title, referring page, and the time of a visit. The website does not use that record to build an advertising profile, and it skips the page-view beacon when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Information is used to deliver products, run and protect the booking system, create Zoom meetings, synchronize calendar availability, manage lesson credits and journals, answer support tickets, prevent fraud or piracy, improve the website, and send marketing only where the appropriate consent exists.
Information is shared only as needed for each provider to perform its role.
Some providers process information outside Canada. Their local laws may allow lawful access by courts, regulators, or authorities in those locations.
These rules apply to one-to-one lessons, lesson bundles, and private scheduling access.
Make at least one confirmed lesson booking every three months. Each confirmed booking refreshes every remaining credit for another three months.
Cancel or reschedule at least 12 hours before the lesson. Changes inside that window, missed lessons, and no-shows use the scheduled credit.
Lesson purchases and lesson credits are non-refundable. Credits can be used only while the bundle remains active and cannot be exchanged for cash.
If a lesson is recorded, the recording is for the student’s own review. It may not be posted, shared, sold, streamed, or distributed without Aaron’s written permission.
Spacefood emails the student two weeks before expiry, again one week before expiry, and once more when remaining credits expire. The Student Panel also shows the current active-through date. A new confirmed booking replaces the old date with a fresh three-month window.
The item, currency, and total are shown before payment. Unless a page says otherwise, website lesson pricing is shown in USD. Available payment methods are presented by Stripe at checkout.
Digital books, MIDI files, samples, expansion packs, and companion materials are licensed to the recipient for personal use. They may not be resold, reposted, shared publicly, or distributed. Personalized files may contain a traceable watermark.
Check the email address used on the form or at checkout, then check spam or promotions. If the file or private link still does not arrive, use the Contact button and include the same email address so Aaron can restore access.
Nothing in these policies limits a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded. Spacefood may also make a written exception where Aaron decides that unusual circumstances warrant one.
Promotional email is optional. Every campaign will include a working unsubscribe option, and contact preferences are designed to support opting out of specific topics without blocking receipts, requested downloads, booking confirmations, or other essential service messages.
You may ask what personal information Spacefood holds about you, request a correction, withdraw optional consent, or ask for deletion where retention is not required for a purchase record, security, legal obligation, dispute, or active service.
Records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for fulfillment, student history, support, accounting, security, and legal obligations. Administrative access is protected with a private login and authenticator-based two-factor authentication; service credentials are kept outside public website code.
For a privacy request, policy question, or complaint, use the Contact button and choose the closest topic. Include the email address connected to the record so Aaron can find the correct account. Spacefood Music is based in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada.
These policies may be updated when Spacefood adds a product, provider, or material new use of information. The date above will change, and significant privacy changes will be brought to the attention of affected users where appropriate.
